Have you ever thought of adding a helicopter rating to your certificate?

Have you ever thought of adding a helicopter rating to your certificate?
Are you a holder of FAA airplane certificate?

It can be PPL, CPL, ATP, in that case you have a fairly easy path to being able to pilot a helicopter in the near future.

I am sure many of you know that if you are a fixed wing pilot, you can become a rotor wing pilot, by doing a so called add-on training course.

It is not as difficult as many people believe to add a helicopter rating to your fixed wing license.
Many fixed wing pilots want to continue their flight training and add a helicopter rating.
Some fixed wing pilots experience some initial difficulty adapting what they already know about flying to a helicopter.

Some of the learned reactions in a fixed wing pilot are inappropriate to rotary wing flight, and it can take some extra flight time for pilots to adapt.

But compared to a student with no previous flight experience you will have a good understanding of many subjects, that are similar or even the same as you have learned during your fixed wing training.

The requirements vary depending on which license you are trying to earn.

If you want to add a helicopter (H) rating to your PPL (A)
